OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health & Social Care (603/6776/3)

The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health & Social Care (603/6776/3) is aimed at candidates who are wanting to gain the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career in the health and social care sector as a support worker, senior support worker or care assistant level.

 

Course Structure

Through distance learning you can earn your qualification online while learning, developing and practicing the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Health & Social Care.

To gain the Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health & Social Care you must complete 6 mandatory units to demonstrate both your knowledge and your working practice.

Unit T/618/5287: Personal and Professional Development in Health and Social Care

Unit F/618/5289: Effective Communication and Ethical Practice in Health and Social Care

Unit F/618/5292: Health, Safety and Wellbeing in Health and Social Care Settings

Unit J/618/5293: Person-Centred Approaches in Health and Social Care Settings

Unit L/618/5294: Effective Handling of Information in Health and Social Care Settings

 

Course Format

Your learning material will be provided by your assessor, along with a guidebook and assessment plan. The assessment team will monitor your progress to offer you support and guidance throughout your course. 

 

Assessment

This is an assignment based qualification. Assignments may be made up of tasks to achieve the unit outcomes.

The OTHM Level 3 Diploma does not require an observation.

 

Age Restrictions

The OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Health & Social Care is not approved for those under the age of 18.

 

Duration

Learners will receive 12 months access to their course. 

 

Support

You will receive full uncapped access to the TrustTeach Health & Social Care assessment team for 12 months. You can contact the assessment team via phone or email.  Our assessors work Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and any messages sent outside of these hours will be picked up during normal working times.  

You will receive your e-cert within 1 week of completion and the hard copy of your certificate within 4 weeks of completion.
