The City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (3096-31) is aimed at candidates who work in Adult Care settings, where workers have key responsibilities for delivery of care and support. Successful completion of this qualification allows candidates to progress in Adult Care within a role which has some autonomy, delegated responsibility or where there may be a need for supervision of others.

Course Structure

Through the Learning Assistant platform provided by City & Guilds, you can earn your qualification online while learning, developing and practicing the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Health & Social Care.

To gain the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care you must complete 15 mandatory units and choose from a wide range of optional units, covering both your knowledge and your working practice. Your assessor will discuss the optional units with you and help you to decide which units would be beneficial to you.

Course Format

The learning material is provided electronically on the Learning Assistant Platform with a guidebook and assessment plan. The assessment team will monitor your progress to offer you support and guidance throughout your course. 

 

Assessment

You will build up a portfolio of evidence in the form of written statements or “Reflective Accounts” along with supporting work products you have produced. Observations will be undertaken by a member of the Health & Social Care assessment team. You may also supply witness testimonies or statements from third parties with whom you work. This may include a supervisor, line manager or other suitably qualified individuals who understand your job role and the standards you have to meet to obtain this level of qualification.

 

Observations

A member of the Health & Social Care assessment team will visit you in the workplace at some point during your course to undertake observations of you at work. These will be planned in advance in order to cause the minimum disruption to your work routine and to try to capture as much information in one visit as possible.

 

Age Restrictions

The City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is not approved for those under the age of 16.

 

Duration

Learners will receive 12 months access to their course. Average completion time for the Level 3 Diploma is 6 months.

 

Support

You will receive full uncapped access to the TrustTeach Health & Social Care assessment team for 12 months. You can contact the assessment team via phone, email or over the Learning Assistant platform.  Our assessors work Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, and any messages sent outside of these hours will be picked up during normal working times.  

You will receive your e-cert within 1 week of completion and the hard copy of your certificate within 4 weeks of completion.
